Yamaha WR125X 2011 Model

City scrambler
Get on the WR125X and the first thing you’ll notice is its sheer physical presence. With a full-sized Supermoto design, it’s easy to mistake this for a higher capacity bike.

But the surprises don’t end there. Twist the throttle and feel the punchy response of a fuel-injected, liquid-cooled, 4-valve, 4-stroke SOHC single-cylinder engine as it delivers an rpm count that’ll have you tearing up city streets and back roads.

For great road holding, 41 mm front forks and linkage-type Monocross suspension are combined with a massive 140-section sports rear tyre. And 17 inch front and rear wheels get remarkable stopping power from a 298 mm front disc and 220 mm rear disc.

High-performance engine
The fuel-injected, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke SOHC engine gives you punchy, free-revving performance and high-rpm horsepower, that means you’ll be just at home on the city streets or twisty back roads. The addition of a 6-speed gearbox ensures that you’re always on the power.

Full-size Supermoto design
To ensure that you get the most machine for your money, the WR125X comes with a full-size Supermoto design that gives it the physical presence of a much higher-capacity bike. Finished in Yamaha’s radical, distinctive, next-generation styling, it’s a bike that guarantees to turn heads at every stoplight.

Supermoto wheels
To get the most from a bike, you need to know you have complete control. The WR125X Supermoto runs with 17 inch front and rear wheels fitted with sticky sports tyres that deliver high levels of traction. A massive, 140-section rear tyre gives the WR125X serious big-bike looks and outstanding cornering.

Ride comfort
When you’re riding, telescopic forks at the front and swingarm with link-system suspension at the rear take the worst bumps out of your ride. The lightweight braking system keeps unsprung weight low, for super-responsive suspension on all types of terrain.

Large disc brakes for total confidence
The WR125X’s combination of punchy engine and Supermoto style begs for you to test its limits. For the perfect braking combination – strong stopping power combined with plenty of feel – the WR125X uses ø 298 mm front and ø 220 mm rear disc brakes.

Racer-style footpegs
You choose a Yamaha as much for its pedigree as its performance. The footpegs on the WR125X are a nod to our multiple MX World Championship-winning heritage, and have been developed from our off-road race bikes. The lightweight design offers plenty of support and grip for the sole of the boot, which is particularly important when riding off-road.
